Advanced Practice Nurse (Licensed in Texas / Louisiana)

Valid Advanced Practice Nurse license in <LOCATION> / <LOCATION>, with current certification from an accredited nursing board. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room settings, ICU/Level I Trauma Center experience preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques including laboratory experience and medical imaging. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus. Experience performing complex procedures like spinal taps, venipuncture (phlebotomy), catheter care, tube feeding management, and ventilator support. Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages—including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory care/dementia care), and patients with developmental disabilities or requiring hospice & palliative medicine. Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition or medication administration; adept at triage and urgent care protocols. Critical care experience including ICU or Level II trauma center exposure is highly desirable; familiarity with infectious disease care and occupational health practices is advantageous. Knowledge of CPT coding standards for billing purposes; understanding of Workers' Compensation law is beneficial.
