South College DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program (NAP) is searching for an enthusiastic and flexible team member who will enter at the rank of assistant/associate professor/professor, commensurate with level of experience. The full-time faculty member will collaborate with the DNP NAP team to teach didactic courses delivered in a hybrid manner (a mix of intensive on-campus sessions and synchronous/asynchronous distance education, as appropriate to the course assignment) at the graduate/doctoral level; engage in scholarship and mentorship/advisement to students, both as regular faculty mentors, and as DNP scholarly project committee memberships/chair, as needed; and provide service to the program and South College in the form institutional work, community and professional service, advocacy and scholarship. It is acceptable for this position to be filled with an on-ground appointment at South College – Knoxville Campus or as a distance faculty member. Teaching, course design/development/implementation/course & program assessment at the doctoral/graduate level. Research/scholarship, and service as mentor and advisor for doctoral students’ DNP scholarly projects, as applicable. Assisting with curriculum development and clinical oversight of students as needed. Participating in simulation lab training and opportunities as needed. Participating in annual admissions applications evaluations and candidate interviews as needed. Representing the program at local, state, and national meetings. Assisting in the advancement of the nurse anesthesia program’s and South College’s mission and vision. Maintenance of clinical practice as a CRNA, which does not interfere with the agreed upon teaching schedule and faculty responsibilities.
