Sagora Senior Living is in search of a hard-working and compassionate On Call Nurse (RN)! The On Call Nurse, RN, is responsible for receiving and triaging all resident-related clinical calls, via phone or video, for the company after normal business hours, all while guaranteeing the highest possible level of service. The nurse will use the Nursing Process and Standards of Care guidelines to assess and triage all reported resident symptoms/conditions. Remote- Works from home office using company provided computer and phone. 1 opening available – PT (12+ hours per week). 12 hour overnight shift. Sunday and PRN 6pm-6am Pay: $38 hourly
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, RN, in home state and holds compact licensure Nursing assessment skills without visual inspection utilizing basic nursing theory and practice Ability to be patient and courteous in dealing with team members, families and health care professionals Effectively manages high stress situations Skill in independent decision-making with excellent communication capabilities to include documentation expertise Proficient in use of computers, specifically, EHR (electronic health records) and EMAR Must possess accurate and comprehensive observation skills Must be familiar with drug actions and interactions
Respond promptly to each incoming call. Collaborate with community callers to provide assessment of immediate resident needs, interpret findings, initiate appropriate action, monitor results and communicate accordingly. Assess the caller’s stated resident symptoms and determine the appropriate level of care required to safely meet the resident’s clinical needs (emergent, urgent, non-urgent or home status). Obtains appropriate input and direction from the resident’s health care provider as needed to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations. Documents in the resident EHR, in an accurate and timely manner, to reflect the resident’s symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and response. This includes documentation of communication with health care providers, EMS, and Resident Responsible Parties as warranted. Utilize resident’s orders, triage protocols, company policies and Nurse Practice Act appropriately. Effectively prioritize and process calls to provide optimal resident outcomes. Evaluates emergencies and determines emergency measures to be used which are acceptable under assisted living standards and fall within the Good Samaritan guidelines and Nurse Practice Act.
