Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Client to join our innovative behavioral healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care through telehealth, conducting patient evaluations, managing medications, and developing individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while allowing you to make a meaningful impact through accessible, patient-centered mental healthcare. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support improved mental health outcomes and provide high-quality care for individuals with a wide range of behavioral health needs. Job Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and behavioral health assessments Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions through evidence-based clinical practices Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with HIPAA requirements, DEA regulations, and clinical guidelines Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating medication management, therapy recommendations, and lifestyle interventions Provide ongoing medication monitoring and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate Deliver telehealth psychiatric consultations, including crisis assessment, intervention, and triage when needed Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems Ensure compliance with healthcare documentation standards, privacy regulations, and quality requirements Participate in continuing education, clinical research, and professional development activities to remain current with advances in psychiatric care Qualifications: Qualifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Client certification Active DEA license required Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for North Carolina licensure Prior experience practicing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in outpatient, inpatient, or telehealth settings Strong clinical experience in psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management Knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based behavioral health treatment approaches Experience with CPT coding, clinical documentation, and healthcare billing processes Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms Understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements Experience working with diverse populations, including children, older adults, and individuals with developmental or behavioral health needs, preferred Strong communication, clinical judgment, and ability to work independently in a Client environment Preferred Experience: Telehealth psychiatric care Crisis intervention and behavioral health triage Acute psychiatric care or hospital medicine experience Complex medication management Experience supporting patients with diverse mental health needs Benefits: 401(k) plan Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Paid parental leave Flexible schedule Client work flexibility Join Our Team: Join a mission-driven healthcare organization focused on expanding access to quality mental health services.
