Hiring: Telehealth Nurse – Remote Location: Louisville, KY 40219 / Remote – Open to candidates anywhere in the U.S. Duration: 6 Months Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM Pay Rate: $39/hour on W2 Work Type: Remote Telehealth Experience: Preferred Position Overview We are seeking a Telehealth Nurse to provide remote support to patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and their teams. This role involves providing education and support related to specialty medications through phone and electronic communication. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide telephone and electronic support to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding specialty medications and treatment programs. • Educate patients about their therapy, medication use, treatment requirements, and ongoing care. • Conduct follow-up calls to support medication adherence and treatment compliance. • Collect and document patient information and clinical data accurately. • Monitor patient needs and identify potential safety concerns or changes in condition, escalating issues when appropriate. • Communicate with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals to support ongoing treatment and patient care. • Follow established clinical, regulatory, and program guidelines. • Identify and report Adverse Events (AEs) and Product Complaints (PCs) according to applicable procedures. • Maintain accurate documentation while protecting patient information and following HIPAA requirements. • Manage multiple systems and tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity. • Support patients and caregivers in resolving questions or challenges related to their care and treatment. • Maintain an active and unrestricted nursing license throughout the assignment. Required Qualifications • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. • Nursing license must remain active and in good standing throughout employment. • At least 2 years of healthcare experience in a healthcare organization, physician office, laboratory, or similar environment. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, data entry, and working with multiple online systems. • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. • Strong problem-solving and patient-service skills. • Experience with patient counseling, medication adherence, telehealth, or specialty pharmacy is highly preferred. Remote Work Requirements • Must have a quiet, professional, and HIPAA-compliant workspace. • Reliable high-speed internet is required to support multiple systems, phone/VOIP calls, and video conferencing. • Must be comfortable working in a call-center-style remote environment. • Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods during the workday. • A headset may be required for extended telephone interactions.
