Utilization Review Nurse (Remote)

Position:  Utilization Management Assistant Reports To: UM Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-exempt Position Description: The Utilization Management Assistant is responsible for processing and distributing reauthorization requests to our utilization management team.  Additional job duties include additional assigned tasks when needed and establishing accurate records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as the policies of tango.. This role is responsible for coordinating authorization, eligibility, customer service and related activities for the maximum utilization of services.

Exhibits a pleasant and welcoming demeanor both in person and on the phone. Manages the distribution of workload via tempo and email of all incoming re-authorization requests. Verifies insurance and eligibility for authorization requests. Answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Other team duties as required.
