Position Summary Wildflower Weight Loss is seeking an experienced, compassionate nurse practitioner to join our growing virtual medical team. This provider will care for both medical weight-loss and hormone-health patients. Responsibilities include conducting virtual appointments, developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and managing weight-loss medications—including GLP-1 medications—and providing care for women experiencing perimenopause, menopause and other hormone-related concerns. The provider will also respond to patient messages, review laboratory results, monitor progress, manage side effects and collaborate with the Wildflower clinical team. Clinical experience in women’s hormone health and hormone replacement therapy is required. Experience managing medical weight-loss patients and GLP-1 medications is also strongly preferred. Our comprehensive approach combines medical care, nutrition, movement, education, coaching and ongoing provider support. We provide individualized medical weight-loss treatment and are expanding our hormone and vitality services. We are looking for a nurse practitioner who is passionate about helping women improve their weight, metabolic health, hormone health, energy and overall quality of life. Primary ResponsibilitiesMedical Weight-Loss Care • Conduct virtual new-patient and follow-up weight-loss appointments. • Evaluate patients for medical weight-loss treatment. • Develop individualized weight-loss treatment plans. • Prescribe and manage appropriate weight-loss medications. • Initiate, titrate and monitor GLP-1 medications. • Manage medications such as semaglutide, tirzepatide, Wegovy, Zepbound and other appropriate weight-management treatments. • Evaluate treatment effectiveness, tolerance and patient progress. • Identify and manage common medication side effects. • Make appropriate dose adjustments based on clinical response. • Review weight trends, health history, laboratory results and relevant risk factors. • Educate patients on proper medication use, expectations and safety considerations. • Support patients during active weight loss and long-term maintenance. Hormone-Health Care • Conduct virtual hormone-health evaluations and follow-up appointments. • Evaluate and manage concerns related to perimenopause, menopause and hormone health. • Develop individualized, evidence-based hormone treatment plans. • Prescribe and monitor appropriate hormone replacement therapy. • Manage both FDA-approved and compounded hormone therapies when clinically appropriate. • Review symptoms, laboratory results, risks, contraindications and treatment response. • Adjust treatment based on symptoms, side effects and clinical findings. • Educate patients about hormone treatment options, benefits, limitations and potential risks. • Identify patients who require additional evaluation, physician consultation or referral. Ongoing Patient Support • Respond promptly and compassionately to patient messages. • Answer medication, side-effect and treatment questions. • Review laboratory and diagnostic results. • Order appropriate laboratory testing when clinically indicated. • Communicate treatment recommendations clearly to patients. • Complete timely and accurate medical documentation. • Maintain continuity of care between scheduled appointments. • Escalate complex or urgent concerns appropriately. Clinical Collaboration • Collaborate with Wildflower’s nurse practitioners and supervising physician. • Consult with the supervising physician regarding complex cases when appropriate. • Follow Wildflower’s clinical protocols, prescribing guidelines and documentation standards. • Participate in occasional virtual clinical meetings and training. • Contribute to clinical quality improvement and protocol development. • Support Wildflower’s warm, responsive and concierge-level patient experience. Required Qualifications • Active, unrestricted Florida nurse practitioner license. • Current national nurse practitioner board certification. • License and certification in good standing. • Clinical experience in women’s hormone health and hormone replacement therapy. • Knowledge of perimenopause, menopause and common hormone-related concerns. • Experience prescribing and monitoring hormone therapy. • Experience evaluating and managing medical weight-loss patients. • Knowledge of GLP-1 medications and appropriate prescribing, titration and monitoring. • Ability to evaluate patients independently and develop appropriate treatment plans within applicable protocols. • Comfortable providing care through telehealth. • Strong written communication skills for responding to patient messages. • Excellent clinical judgment, organization and attention to detail. • Ability to complete documentation accurately and promptly. • Willingness to obtain and maintain individual professional malpractice insurance. • Availability for approximately 15–30 hours per week. • Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor. Preferred Qualifications • Experience prescribing semaglutide, tirzepatide, Wegovy, Zepbound and other weight-management medications. • Experience managing GLP-1 side effects and medication titration. • Experience supporting patients through active weight loss and maintenance. • Experience with compounded and FDA-approved hormone therapies. • Familiarity with estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and vaginal hormone treatments. • Experience interpreting laboratory results related to metabolic and hormone health. • Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health or endocrinology. • Previous experience in a telehealth, concierge or membership-based medical practice. • Experience supporting patients through long-term lifestyle and behavior change. Schedule • Approximately 15–30 hours per week. • Flexible part-time schedule based on patient and practice needs. • Fully remote. • Combination of scheduled virtual appointments and patient-message coverage. • Occasional virtual team meetings and clinical training. • Specific availability expectations will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation and Contract Structure • $65 per hour. • 1099 independent contractor position. • No employee benefits are provided. • Contractor is responsible for maintaining required licensure, malpractice insurance and independent-contractor tax obligations.
